I try to make drawings that I would like to look at if I saw them somewhere. My work is personal and contains the truth of specific moments in my memory. As such, the process can be cathartic, but is often pure enjoyment of drawing and seeing what can be pulled out of a page. As I wrestle with my past, I make images that blur the line between art and illustration, innocence and eroticism. My goal is to have those who view these drawings recognize a bit of themselves: beautiful, lonesome and often times ridiculous . . .
